These terms apply to anyone browsing or buying on BIGBRANDS. If you're applying to sell on the platform, the Seller Agreement also applies to you specifically.
The BIGBRANDS marketplace
BIGBRANDS operates an online marketplace connecting customers with independent, local sellers. Products are listed, priced, and fulfilled by the sellers themselves; BIGBRANDS facilitates discovery, checkout, payment, delivery coordination, and customer support.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
Orders & payment
Placing an order is an offer to purchase at the price and delivery fee shown at checkout, in South African Rand (ZAR). Payment is processed securely through our payment provider. Once payment is confirmed, your order is passed to the relevant seller(s) for fulfilment.
Returns & refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our separate Returns & Refunds Policy, which applies to every order regardless of which seller it came from.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform — including attempting to defraud sellers or BIGBRANDS, interfering with the site's operation, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The BIGBRANDS name, logo, and site design are the property of BIGBRANDS. Product content (names, images, descriptions) belongs to the respective sellers.
Limitation of liability
BIGBRANDS facilitates transactions between customers and independent sellers. While we review sellers during onboarding and mediate returns and disputes, individual product quality and accuracy is the responsibility of the seller. To the extent permitted by law, BIGBRANDS' liability is limited to the value of the relevant order.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of BIGBRANDS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
